I KNOW I DON'T KNOW

Where we going with this, RTG family? I honestly don’t know. And strangely enough, that’s a wonderful thing. My goal is to keep it short, sweet, simple, and comforting. One thing I do know is that knowing and having faith in the Lord will always be enough. We know this to be true as Paul notes in 2 Corinthians 5:7-8: “For we walk by faith, not by sight. We are confident, yes, well pleased rather to be absent from the body and to be present with the Lord.” Now that’s quite simple and very comforting to me. Simply put your full confidence in the character of God and let it ride.

This faith in God and His plan for my day gives me great comfort in not knowing what’s next, simply because I do know that He does. He also knows we need to plan and schedule, and prepare for future events that are just a part of life. This is a good and necessary step toward our goal of paving a peaceful and productive path along this amazing journey. What I, too often, fail to do is pray first for guidance and direction. But, I am forever grateful that He always finds a way to gracefully grab my attention with perfectly timed guidance if I’m willing and ready to listen and receive. I guess that’s the beauty of knowing and accepting that I know I don’t know. It draws me closer and closer, little by little, to the Lord whom I know will never leave me nor forsake me. And that’s a wonderful and hugely comforting thing. So, pray first and never play scared.

Until next time,

Much love and be blessable,

Larry
